Kids

Children are among our most treasured guests during the Great Oregon Steam-Up! Please keep in mind that there are VERY large pieces of equipment operating at all times, respond accordingly to ensure a safe experience for all.

The show occupies much of the 62 acre campus at Powerland Heritage Park, that can be a lot of walking for little legs. Strollers are welcome, please be advised that the ground is largely unpaved and somewhat of a bumpy ride. Closed toed shoes are encouraged for the entire family.

Once inside the gates be sure and get a Youth Passport for the children (ages 4 and older) in your group. They’ll have fun visiting the museums and getting it stamped. Once full, bring it to the Youth Passport booth for a surprise! Please, only one entry per day per person.

Pets

We are pet-friendly, but we have some rules:

  • Dogs must be leashed, quiet, and cleaned-up-after at all times.

  • NO "zip" leashes (the retractable kind); this is so dogs do not lunge unexpectedly at kids or other dogs.

  • Aggressive dogs will be banned, this includes fighting other dogs, barking, or showing unsocial behavior.

  • Do NOT leave any pet (or child!) in a vehicle at any time—it will be hotter than you think, and it is fatal.

Food and Water

You are welcome to bring your own bottled water (alcoholic beverages are not permitted) and snacks. We also have terrific vendors on hand providing the best in food and beverages.
